Dear Friend,
Thank you to all those who helped and signed up to support the campaign at our stall in Redhill on Saturday. We had a lot of angry residents coming up to sign the petition and also a large number of people signing and donating in support of the Firefighters taking action last Saturday.
Following the announcement of the spending cuts we have to move quickly to get the campaign up onto its feet and moving forwards. We’d like to therefore invite you to our first organising meeting at 7pm on Tuesday 2nd November at The Garlands, Brighton Road, Redhill.
The draft agenda will be as follows;
1). Welcome and Introductions
2). Quick discussion about what we want to achieve in Redhill with the group
3). Election of Convenor, Treasurer and for any other positions identified from the discussion
4). Affiliations to national and regional bodies
5). Delegations to upcoming national events
6). Campaigning locally
6a). Building solidarity for the Firefighters *Updated 26/10/10
7). Public Meeting to launch the Coalition
8). Any other Business
If you would like anything added to the agenda for the meeting then please feel free to email us.
Hope to see you there and thank you for your continuing support.
Philip Wilson, Acting Chair, Redhill Coalition against Cuts
